About Tate

I was raised in a small farm town in Vermont.  I grew up in fields, climbing trees, and walking along river banks.  My childhood was full of sports; soccer, lacrosse, track, basketball, cross country, taekwondo, I tried it all.  But nothing spoke to my soul until I found photography.

This was my first love. Framing a shot, chasing natural light, and preserving fleeting moments scratched the itch in my brain that I had been trying to satisfy all my life. From there, my curiosity for creativity only expanded.  Paper mache, print making, video editing, sewing, crochet, and beading.  Each medium taught me something new about storytelling and visual expression.

But nothing has made me feel the way Graphic Design does.  It keeps me up at night, jeopardizing sleep because I’m so entranced with a project.  Hours will fly by before I remember to break myself away to stretch or eat a meal.   I’m always seeking feedback, enrolling in new certifications, and taking on internships to grow my skills and broaden my perspective. I love the challenge, the problem-solving, and the opportunity to bring ideas to life with clarity and color. My work consumes me, it fuels me, it is me.  I truly love what I do, I pour that passion into every project I take on.
